SCODCDrug & HIV Prevention Resources

About SCODC

The South Caucasus Office on Drugs and Crime (SCODC) was a non-governmental organization that worked on drug prevention, HIV/AIDS awareness and related public health issues in the South Caucasus region. Its publications on drug prevention were cited in academic papers and in encyclopedia articles on substance abuse prevention, and it appeared in the membership list of the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (VNGOC).

The original organization's website went offline. This site is an independent, non-commercial resource that continues the same subject areas, drug prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention, with up-to-date, evidence-based articles for parents, educators, health workers and young people. It is not affiliated with the original organization or with any government body.

Editorial approach

Articles summarize guidance from public health bodies such as the WHO, UNODC, CDC, NIDA, NIAAA and SAMHSA, and from peer-reviewed research. We avoid scare tactics and aim to give accurate, practical information. Corrections are welcome.
